- Open Instagram app on your mobile phone and log in to your IG account by entering login credentials.
- Now tap on the Profile from the bottom right of the screen. After that, tap on the three horizontal lines from the top right.
- Tap on the Settings option from the bottom and you will see the setting options. After that, tap on the Security option from the list.
- Now tap on the clear search history option. After that, again tap on the “Clear search history” option. You will see the confirmation pop-up menu. Confirm it by a tap on the “Clear History” option.

On a PC browser or mobile browser
Instagram let you use IG from the browser with some limitations. But, you can also do that on the browser. Below is the guide on it.
- Open Instagram.com URL from a Web browser on PC or mobile phone and log in to your account.
- Click on the profile icon from the top right of the page. After that, click on the Gear icon (right side on the Edit Profile button) and you will see the options list.
- Now click on the “Privacy and Security” option from the list. Scroll down and click on the “View Account Data” option.
- Click on the View all option from below the Search history (This option is under Account Activity).
