Roosh Ventures, Serhii Tokarev’s Venture Fund, Entered the Prestigious Sifted Ranking

Venture fund Roosh Ventures entered the Sifted ranking compiled by a leading European media outlet operating with support from the Financial Times. The Ukrainian investment fund took 43rd place and became the first and only domestic player to enter this list. Three of its companies — Gladia, Alma and Folk — also entered the top 100 startups in the region that are growing the fastest. This was stated by Serhii Tokarev, an entrepreneur, IT businessman and co-founder of Roosh Ventures.

How the Investment Fund Entered Sifted

Roosh Ventures invests in technology startups in European countries and other regions. It managed to enter the top 50 of a prestigious media outlet that specialises in analytics of the venture capital and startup markets.

The following criteria are considered when forming the Sifted ranking:

  • The player’s impact on the development of the local ecosystem.
  • Portfolio quality.
  • Intensity of completed deals.

The appearance of a Ukrainian venture fund among the most promising investors in Western Europe demonstrates that the place of registration is no longer a determining factor for the scaling and competitiveness of venture capital. Roosh Ventures stands out against the general background, as most positions in such rankings were previously occupied by local European funds.

Sifted also recognised Alma, Folk and Gladia, portfolio companies that entered the top 100 most dynamic startups. They operate in different technology sectors:

  • Alma is developing an innovative payment system with a focus on responsible consumption.
  • Folk creates a CRM platform that gives people control over business relationships.
  • Gladia builds infrastructure based on artificial intelligence for speech analysis and transcription.

This selection, ranging from AI-based solutions to innovative tools for fintech and business, shows Roosh Ventures’ overall priorities.

“The appearance of a Ukrainian investment fund in the ranking of a leading European media outlet is not a coincidence, but a natural result of the right approach to selecting projects. Roosh Ventures entered the top 50 lenders and investors in France and the Benelux because we invest in people who change markets. Ukrainian players are already entering the top league, and they are not just catching up, but competing,” says co-founder of Roosh Ventures Serhii Tokarev.

Investment and technology teams from Ukraine are increasingly becoming competitors to Western companies. The Sifted result only confirms this.
